Our annual fundraising goal was achieved!
Combined donations, sign orders and personal savings helped us to hit our fiscal goal of $10,000 by yearend, closing out 2016 strong. This was an achievement we weren't sure we would make, so it's a welcome surprise that the LFS family is eternally grateful for. Thank you to everyone who contributed and pushed us over the edge to reach such a milestone moment!
SoCal VegFest proved to be our most fruitful fundraising event ever!

Prior to this year's SoCal VegFest in October, the most we've ever reached at an outreach event in one day was 26 signs sent home with generous contributors. The second day of the event, Sign Up for Love had a 29-sign day, totaling 40 individual donations, the overall target for the two-day event! We raised a total of $1,075, making it our best outreach event yet.
Loveland Farm Sanctuary became an officially recognized 501(c)3 nonprofit.
After months of hard work and stacks of papers filed, we received the long-awaited IRS letter recognizing our organization as a tax-exempt non-profit in May of this year. With this newfound accreditation, costs for outreach efforts will be decreased, we can partner with for-profit organizations on tax-deductible in-kind donations to enhance our fundraising efforts, and ultimately we can save money on the federal tax process, so more of our finances can be saved for our future residents.

Many of you have met Dave at any number of the events he has willingly attended with me; maybe you've seen him on Instagram as he's in most of the set up pictures I post of our booth at events. He's a huge, crucial part of the team out in the field and behind the scenes where operations of the non-profit are concerned. On Thanksgiving, he popped the question to spend our lives together and I eagerly said YES! This year's successes and milestones were in large part made possible by his loving support, and I know he will make the best partner when the time comes to run Loveland Farm Sanctuary!
Three months from now, we'll be joining together with members of the community to escalate our efforts to make Loveland Farm Sanctuary a reality for farm animals in dire need of rescue. Please consider joining us at the Newland Barn in Huntington Beach on April 2nd to help abused and neglected animals who need us now more than ever.
